So what actually is session styling?

Aside from going back to full time, the biggest change I’m bringing into my business this year is session styling and I am SO EXCITED for it! Wardrobe can absolutely make or break a session, and a bad outfit can kill the moment harder than a dad doing the Chandler face! 😂 (It’s funny because it’s true.) I know this, and y’all know it too. It’s why “OMG! What do we wear??” is usually the first communication I get after booking. Previously I have provided a style guide, and my phone number fully willing to text back and forth with options and ideas. But I realized I can be way more involved in the process and take a ton of stress off of your plate!

I’ve been in this business eight years now–Happy Anniversary month to me!!🥰–and I know what looks good in front of the camera. I know what fabrics are going to add texture, what silhouettes are going to add movement, what colors are going to add richness and depth. My mind is always on the details that many often forget about–socks, shoes and neon hair ties, I’m looking at you! I can look at one piece of clothing and immediately visualize eight other outfits to perfectly compliment each other because I do it for my own family all the time! So why not give all that goodness to you in a more complete way? Enter: Session styling!!

Now after booking, you’ll fill out a questionnaire which will let me get to know your family a little more and also the style you’re going for. Traditional? Romantic? Bohemian? Retro? Urban? I want you to feel confident and comfortable, whether you’re choosing a style that has become your family’s signature, or branching out and having fun with a new feel! So from there, I will put together complete personal outfit boards for each member of your family from head to toe! With those boards in your hands you have a few options: every item is linked so you can get as many of the exact items as you’d like. You can also use it as inspiration to go shop your own favorite stores or your own closet! The mommas and sweet girls will also have access to borrow items from my ever growing client closet, which is full of items I have carefully curated. The closet is made up of cuts and colors and textures that I know will only add to the beauty of your session.
